Obituary

Betty Jean (Bearfield) Sampson passed away on Friday November 16, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was 71 years old. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 9th 1947. She resided in Pembroke, Ma for 35 Years. She will be sadly missed by her son Russell E. Hammond and his partner Denise Pilling of Pembroke. Her sister Nancy J. Andrews and her husband Carl of East Bridgewater. Her longtime boyfriend Paul Holland of Quincy. She had 5 nieces and nephews and 11 grandnieces and nephews. Betty worked as a payroll supervisor for the Sheraton Hotels in downtown Boston. She stayed in touch with many of her co-workers over the years. She loved to cook gourmet meals and sing to her music. She also volunteered at the Pembroke Fire House Food Pantry. Over the years her favorite place to relax with her boyfriend was at a condominium in Marco Island. Forever remembered -always loved.

Visiting hours will be in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson on Tuesday 5-7:30 PM with services in the Funeral Home at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will take place at 11 AM at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
