Benjamin H, Bearce, "Buzzy" as he was affectionately referred to, husband of the late Mary Eleanor Bearce passed away peacefully on May 26, 2018 at the age of 91.  He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor and son David R. Bearce, his brother Stanley Bearce. He was the loving brother of the late Eleanor Colvin and Carolyn Gorham.  He is survived by his sons: Donald and his wife Michele of Plymouth, Steven B. Bearce of Halifax and his partner Pam Burns and his daughter-in-law Janet Bearce of Pembroke. He was the grandfather of Rhonda Masterson of Halifax, Jamie Burkhead of Plymouth, Jason Bearce of Plymouth, Ryan Bearce of Wareham, Aaron Bearce of New York, Jessica Walsh of California, Ben Bearce of Brockton, Leeandra Bearce of Brockton and Zachary Bearce of South Carolina.  In addition, he leaves behind 13 great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Buzzy worked as a plumber at Colvin Plumbing in Whitman for most of his life. He raised his three sons in Pembroke and moved to Halifax in retirement. In his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with his wife Eleanor. He also made many happy memories camping along the beaches with Eleanor and his late brother Stanley Bearce. Buzzy loved his prized birds and his dogs. They were his constant companions.

His visiting hours will be held at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home at 4 West Washington St. in Hanson on Saturday, June 2nd from 9-10:30 a.m.  A memorial service will be held directly following the visitation at 10:30 a.m.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pembroke following the service.
