Beatrice E. (Barme) MacDonald of Hanson Passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. MacDonald. Daughter of the late William and Helen (Gibbs) Barme.  Loving mother of Frederick G. MacDonald and his wife Penelope Peterson of Norwell and the Late William A. MacDonald. Sister of the late Laura Robinson of Amherst.  Grandmother of Rebbecca, Leith, and Connor MacDonald.  Also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

Beatrice lived most of her life in Hanson and briefly on Cape Cod. She was an avid gardener and a member of the American Rhododendron Society, a Board Member of the Heritage Museum in Sandwich, and a certified Massachusetts Master Gardener ( One out of a hundred certified)  and had eight acres with over a thousand Rhododendrons.
