IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara J.
Peterson
October 21, 1966 – December 3, 2016
Barbara J. Peterson age 50 of Easton was a dedicated Home-Care professional who enjoyed loud music and good times with great friends who died suddenly on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
Barbara was born October 21, 1966, the only daughter of the late Clifford W., and Joan S. (Little) Peterson. Sister to Andrew C. Peterson and the late Mark R. Peterson. Barbara was raised in Bryantville, where she graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School in 1984. She is survived by her nieces and nephew Jenna H. Curren of Quincy, Caroline Peterson, and Jack Peterson both of Halifax, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Katie Arnold of Roslindale and Rory Donahue of Halifax as well as her longtime boyfriend Ian Curran, and her stepmother Rosemary Monaghan of Halifax.
Barbara had many interests but found the most satisfaction working with people in need. Barbara proudly worked as home care assistant. She was a friend to many, many people. Barbara would give her last bite of food or the clothes off her own back to someone who needed them. She was caring and generous and she was kind. It is in this spirit that she should be remembered.
The family will be gathering at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hansom on Tuesday Dec. 13 at 9 AM with memorial services at 10 AM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
In lieu of flowers, and in the spirit of Barbara's generous nature of giving, the family ask that contributions in her memory be made to Shane Gives Thanks Attn. In Memory of Barbara J. Peterson P.O. Box 140 Carver, MA 02330. Shane Give Thanks, Inc. is a 501(C)3 Registered non-profit organization where a donation in any amount will help a family receive a healthy and nutritious meal.
