Arthur Renwick McIntyre, age 89 of Pembroke, Massachusetts died peacefully March 17, 2023 after a brief illness at home surrounded by his loving family.
Arthur was born August 11, 1933 in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to the United States in 1963 with his family. He served in the British Army for two years and was stationed in Belgium. Arthur worked for 33 years at Masoneilan in Norwood and Avon. He was an all around machinist and tool crib attendant. He leaves behind his wife Mary with whom he just celebrated 66 years of marriage. He is survived by his son Allan and wife Alicia of Pembroke, his son Alastair McIntyre and Judy Harriman of New Hampshire. He is survived by his grandchildren Michelle McIntyre of Pembroke, Alyssa McIntyre and her fiancé Adam Barzelay of Maine, Steven McIntyre of Plymouth, Nicole McIntyre and her husband Nick Johnson of Hudson, Cameron McIntyre of Weymouth and Adam McIntyre of Pembroke. He is also survived by a great granddaughter Kira McIntyre of Pembroke. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Arthur enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a proud member of Moore Park Renfrew Masonic Lodge in Scotland and Phoenix Lodge in Hanover, Massachusetts for 65 years.
Visiting hours will be April 29 from 9:00-11:00 at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home a 4 West Washington Street, Hanson, MA with a Masonic Funeral to follow at the Phoenix Masonic Lodge,133 Broadway Street in Hanover, MA from 12:00-12:30. A collation to follow at 12:30.
