Alice C. Hatch of Hanson died on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Longmeadow Nursing Home in Taunton. She was 94 years old. She was the wife of the late Charles T. Hatch Sr. and the mother of David A. Gill of West Bridgewater and the late Frank M. Gill, Charles T. Hatch Jr., and Philip E. Hatch. She was the aunt of Linda Herbert of NH. Alice is also survived by the grandchildren whom she raised; Kristine L. (Hatch) Smith of Raynham and Jennifer M. (Hatch) Richard of Middleboro as well as numerous loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice worked for a leather factory in Brockton and for many years worked with her dear friend Helen Duncan at a pet grooming shop in Hanson. Mrs. Hatch enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and loved animals. Visiting Hours will be on Monday October 24th from 4pm-7pm at Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 W. Washington St (at Rte 58) Hanson. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2011 in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alice's memory to the 100 Club of Massachusetts 17 Gloucester St. Boston, MA 02115.
