Alfred P. Brown in Hanson June 18, 2014 at age 90. Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Patricia A. (Thackleberry) Brown. Son of the late John and Roseanna (Vezina) Brown. Loving father of Paul J. and his wife Patricia of Whitman, Sheila J. Summit and her husband Charles of Beverly, Alfred Jr. and his wife Roberta of Bridgewater, Traci K. Rowley and her husband Michael of Hanson. Step father of Donna Lee Samuels and her husband Dale of Bridgewater and Betty Ann Correia of Bridgewater. Brother of Kathleen Bowmar of So. Dennis, the late Peter, John, and Robert Brown, and Rita Murray. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alfred was a W.W. ll Veteran in the U.S. Marines, lifetime member Abington V.F.W., retired Teamster Local 653 truck driver, and Teamster's Retirement Club. Avid clam digger, gardening, and always enjoyed sitting around the campfires in Vermont with his family and friends. Visiting hours will be in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson Monday June 23rd, 4:00 to 7:00 PM, with services at 7:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Internment will take place at Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson Saturday June 28th at 11:00 Am.
