Patricia Marie (Faherty) Silva

Patricia Marie Faherty Silva, 79, of Hanson, MA, passed away on June 13, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at St. Joseph’s the Worker in Hanson, MA, Saturday, July 8th at 11am. Burial will follow the funeral at Fern Hill Cemetery, High Street Hanson, MA. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Leighton MacKinnon Funeral Home, Spring Street, Hanson, MA. A “Celebration of Life” luncheon to follow at 17 Hillside Ave, Halifax, MA.

Pat was born in Brookline, MA on March 8, 1938. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School.

Pat was loved by the late David E. Orr, her spouse of 37 years.

Pat was the owner of Community School Transportation of Hanson, MA in which she transported students for 42 years and touched the lives of many families and students. She enjoyed spending time at the ocean, traveling to Atlantic City with David and friends and spending time with her large family. Pat’s door was always open for those in need. 292 Spring Street became a safe haven for many.

Pat is survived by her brother, Paul Faherty and sister-in-law, Marjorie Faherty. Loving mother of Lisa P. Rose and spouse James E. Rose, Linda M. Wood and spouse Robert Wood, David E. Orr Jr and spouse Dawn Ward, Darlene L. Orr Tarsa and Robert Skirvin Orr and spouse Andrew Orr Skirvin. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Pat is preceded in death by her spouse, David E. Orr, brother, John (Jack) G. Faherty, and sister, Virginia A. Faherty Coleman.
