"Ellie" - Myrtle Eleanor (Willis) Williams, 86, passed away on Saturday June 26, 2021 in her home on Brockton. After graduating from Brockton High School, for years before starting her family, she worked in the town's then thriving shoe industry. She was also a personal care attendant for many years.
She was a devoted mother to Lee Williams of Brockton and the late David and Douglas Churchill as well as a loving sister to the late Leon Paiva. Ellie is also survived by five grandchildren (Crystal Donovan, Tiffany Feist, Eric Churchill, Faye Sawler and Kellie Churchill). and seven great grandchildren (Sara & Olivia Donovan, Taylor & Christian Feist, Jaxson Sawler and Brooklynn & Quinn Hand). She leaves her favorite cousin, whom she also considered a daughter, Nadine Council and her two children Trisha & Joshua Council. "Mamma" loved that she got to name Joshua and credited that fact to their special bond.
Ellie was known to many as "Gramma", "Mamma", or "Granky". She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends alike. When she wasn't taking care of her family and friends, she enjoyed exercising her creative side through her writing, sewing, and other crafting. She was also a long-term member of TOPS.
Visiting hours in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson Wednesday morning June 30th 9-11 AM with service's at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will follow at Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton.
