Sue-Ann (Mills) Johnson

Sue-Anne (Mills), Johnson, age 58, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 31, 1958 in Weymouth, MA, to Vivian K. Mills and the late William A. Mills. Sue was raised in Whitman, MA and was a 1976 graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Sue's spirituality and desire to help people led her to pursue certification in hypnotherapy and reiki. She enjoyed owning and operating her own hypnotherapy business, The Mind Body Wellness Center. She later pursued a career in the medical field, proudly earning her associates degree and becoming a certified Medical Assistant. Sue graduated at the top of her class while working full time raising and supporting her girls as a single parent.

Sue-Anne dedicated her life to her children and family. She faced many obstacles and challenges throughout her life, but, persevered with strength, determination, and grace.  She treasured her summers having fun swimming, boating, and relaxing with family and friends at the cottage. Sue always made holidays and birthdays special, and especially enjoyed hosting Christmas Eve, with her cheese balls and fondue. She loved camping, nature and the outdoors and was an avid animal lover and gardener. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Johnson of Middleboro, MA; daughter April Hanson and her husband Craig of Kingston, MA; daughter Julianne Sullivan of Middleboro, MA; daughter Lindsey Dockweiler and her husband Nick of Colorado Springs, CO; mother Vivian Mills wife of the late William of Wareham, MA; sister Karen Baker and her husband  Bruce of Middleboro, MA; sister-in-law Imelda Mills, wife of the recently deceased and dearly loved Steven of Fairbanks, AK; grandchildren Cole, Cali, Ari, and Oliver; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours and a celebration of Sue's life will take place on Sunday September 18th, 2016 at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson from 1 to 2 PM, with a memorial service in the Funeral Home at 2 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
