Maritta P. (Gubitosi) Orlandino

Maritta P. (Gubitosi) Orlandino of Hingham passed away peacefully Sunday August 7, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert P. "BigAl" Orlandino former Boston Police Officer. Daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena ( D'Ambrosio) Gubitosi. Loving mother of Lisa McGlone and her husband Robert of Hanson and the late Marc J. Orlandino of Hingham. Sister of Gerald Gubitosi of PA and the late Robert K. Gubitosi.  Loving grandmother of Emma and Olivia McGlone. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Maritta grew up in East Boston where she graduated from Catholic High School. She attended Holy Ghost School of Nursing in Cambridge and became an L.P.N. She was employed for 30 years at the Mass Respiratory Hospital in Braintree. She also worked at Bridgewater State Hospital and Don Orione  Nursing Home in East Boston. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Visiting hours in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson Wednesday morning 9:30- 10:30 AM. with services in the Funeral Home at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elm St. in Everett at 1PM. The family would like donations in Maritta's memory to MSPCA Angel Memorial Medical Center 350 Hunington Ave Boston, MA 02130.
