Kenneth M Newcomb

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth M. "Ken" Newcomb Jr. age 67 of Hanson and former owner of T-2 Green Golf Range in Abington.  Ken was a hardworking, fun-loving, optimistic, friendly, tender and generous man who touched the lives of all who knew him. Born in June of 1948, to the late Kenneth M. Sr. and Priscilla J. (Matheson) Newcomb, of Abington.  He graduated from South Shore VoTech and proudly served in the US Navy for four years.  Ken met and married Elaine S. (Hilly) Newcomb of Whitman in 1969, and they shared a happy home for 46 years in Hanson.  Together they raised four children, his three girls; Kimberly, Christina, and Stacia and finally his boy came along - Kenny.  Ken devoted his life to his family.  His joy was contagious - he would begin every morning by singing a silly song or whistling so loudly there was no need for an alarm clock. Ken was happiest when fixing up an old car, picking golf balls’ out of the mud, singing along to his favorite songs or connecting through conversation. He loved to make people smile - family, friends and even strangers. He passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 from injuries sustained in a fall.

 He is survived by his wife Elaine Newcomb and children Kimberly A. Perteet and her husband Raefield of Plymouth, Christina L. Newcomb of Hanson,  Stacia M. Newcomb and her husband Nathan Manley of New York City, and Kenneth M.  Newcomb of Hanson.

A memorial service will be held in the First Congregational Church of Hanson 639 High St. Hanson Sunday November 1st, 2015 at 2 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. A celebration of Ken's life will be held in the Church Hall following the service.
