Judy Curtis Anglin

Judy Curtis Anglin, 77 of Hanson, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones, on  Wednesday,May 16, 2018.  Loving wife to her Weymouth High School sweetheart, Francis (Frank Anglin). She was the cherished mother of Cindy Bell of Bridgewater, Jeff Bell and his wife Lori of Middleborough, and Gary Bell.  Judy was the adored grandmother of twelve and the great-grandmother of seven (to date). She was the attentive and true friend to her sisters, Barbara Coffey of Hingham, Susan Moody of Plymouth, and the late Lynne Gibson of Rockland.  She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Evelyn Curtis of Weymouth. Judy was loved and respected by numerous nieces and nephews.

After high school, Judy worked as a draftsman at Pneumatic Scale in Quincy. She was an accomplished artist and proficient seamstress. She enjoyed designing and nurturing beautiful gardens in her spectacular yard.  Judy was a woman who was not afraid to use tools of any kind and was proficient in finish carpentry. Her favorite tool was her Skill Saw! Judy was proud to say that she had taught her grandchildren, including the boys, how to sew.  She was a diligent organizer and worker, often getting the entire family involved in large projects such as painting her parents’ house. She instilled an impeccable work ethic to each and everyone of her children and grandchildren.  For many years, Judy owned and operated her very successful decorating and painting business all over the South Shore. Judy treasured her many friendships, including in recent years, meeting monthly with her Weymouth classmates for “Old Ladies Luncheon”.  Judy Curtis Anglin was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was simply a gracious and unselfish person.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
